CHICO STATE ILLUSTRATED
A custom illustrated wallpaper designed for the production room at Chico State's Creative Media and Technology department. Rather than a simple cover-up, I turned the wall into something meaningful by illustrating every building on campus and arranging them spatially to reflect their actual locations throughout the grounds.
The result was a piece that felt specific to the space and the people who worked in it every day.
CITY VIEWS IN CHARCOAL
This 24x36 charcoal drawing captures the surreal feeling of looking up at a towering cityscape.
Hand-drawn using charcoal sticks, pencils, and 6B-8B artist pencils, the piece plays with dramatic perspective and contrast to create a photo-realistic effect.
Clean edges were achieved with white artist's tape, and a final layer of spray fixative preserved the depth and texture of the charcoal work.

Most viewers mistake it for a photograph; until they take a closer look.
BIDWELL WINE
Bidwell Mansion is a historic landmark in Chico, CA, near the campus where I studied. It was a building I walked past regularly and always admired. Sadly, it has since been lost to arson.
This concept project is a personal one, a small tribute to a piece of architecture that left an impression on me long before I thought to document it.
AMBROISE TYPE BOOKLET
A typographic booklet exploring the distinctions between three serif typefaces: Ambroise, Operetta, and Benton Modern Display. The booklet walks through the history and functionality of Ambroise as the featured typeface.
With a 1930s-style editorial spread showing it in context, a dedicated glyph page including two custom-designed glyphs, weight studies, and side-by-side letterform comparisons across all three typefaces. The project closes with a colophon detailing software, print specs, and type sources.
